More tweaks on the two column layout. In addition to using multiple columns to pull the comments up alongside the original posting, I can use the second column for a single prominent ad and a few navigational tools.
This gives the ad a persistent spot on the page in a location that doesn't compete with the content, but maintains a certain amount of weight and commands some attention in so far as there is a little animation involved without it actually competing with the content.

I received a note recently from the guys who do most of my dns hosting -- DNSArt. After 7 years of providing DNS services, they've decided to call it quits. I've done business with them since before they got into the DNS business -- they're an entrepeneurial sort, and have nothing but great service from them.
