You kind of come off as being a bit of a jerk about this.Sure, the bug is technically wishlist, and certainly we are all volunteers and spend our time (or not) implementing the features we find important.However, there does seem to be a patch available now. Rather than be needlessly stubborn (and disrespectful of the teams maintaining difficult, large package collections such as X and KDE), please, consider going the gracious thing and either upload a new version with the patch, or give your blessing to an NMU.
